A 7-year-old girl didn't draw a character. She built one — out of a kitchen sponge. Aethara gave Soak a world to live in, rendering her as a cinematic custom animated character in felt-fabric style, preserving every sponge-built detail exactly as she made her. The crooked grin. The square body. The color of an actual kitchen sponge. Nothing fixed, nothing smoothed over. Soak exists because a kid decided a sponge was the right starting point — and she was absolutely correct.
